This comes with the opening of the official websites for North America and Europe. The Genesis Mini will cost $79.99 and the Mega Drive Mini will have a comparable price in Euros.

Both western versions will include (at least for now) the same titles:

  • Ecco the Dolphin
  • Castlevania Bloodlines
  • Space Harrier II
  • Shining Force
  • Dr. Robotnik Mean Bean Machine
  • Toe Jam & Earl
  • Comix Zone
  • Sonic the Hedgehog
  • Altered Beast
  • Gunstar Heroes

The only relevant difference is that Europe will apparently get Castlevania: The New Generation, which is the censored PAL version with no blood, green zombies, and a few more changes to make it less graphic.

By comparison, Japan is getting Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Puyo Puyo 2, Shining Force, Vampire Killer, Wrestleball, Gunstar Heroes, Comix Zone, Rent a Hero, Space Harrier II, and Madou Monogatari I.

Interestingly, it also appears that only the version with two controllers will be offered in the west, while Japan also gets a box with only one for a lower price point.

Thirty more games are scheduled to be revealed at a later time.

Below you can check out the box art of all the announced games for both North America and Europe.
