Ska Studio’s much anticipated Salt and Sanctuary is finally out. Salt and Sanctuary is the first game to release as part of the Playstation Totally Digital lineup, which is a digital-only area on the PlayStation.
Salt and Sanctuary has been looked forward to since last year and since then been called a 2D Dark Souls due to its bleak environments and overall tone of the the game. It has the look and feel of a 2D Dark Souls game that combines the massive enemies that the Dark Souls franchise is famous for, with 2D platforming. This is the perfect game for those who need something to tide themselves over while waiting for Dark Souls III and wanting to play something a little different.
The game has players take on the role of a shipwrecked sailor that needs to survive in a treacherous and unforgiving world. The game has great features such as varied character customization, crafting weapons and armor pieces, PVP and even local co-op. Not to mention the art and visuals of the game are a sight to see.
Salt and Sanctuary is out now and available on the PS4 for $17.99 and will be coming to PS Vita and Steam soon.
