Most of us have a hobby. Some of us collect action figures, some people tend to a garden, some pick up golf. YouTuber Marcel Vos has a rather unique one: absolutely breaking Roller Coaster Tycoon 2.
Marcel Vos recently created a coaster that takes 12 years and 207 days to complete. That’s not 12 years of Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 time, that is 12 actual real-life years. As Marcel Vos says in the video, you wouldn’t see the end of the ride until 2031 if you started now.
This was done by exploiting a system where a car must wait for another car to perform an action before it can leave its station. By synchronizing a small coaster full of cars with an absurdly large one set to maximum laps and minimum speed, you get insane results.
There is a lot that went into making this coaster and Marcel Vos goes into great detail in his video. Seeing that his previous record was 232 days, it is safe to say he achieved his goal.
The channel also has a number of other cool creations, all using Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 including a Rock Paper Scissors machine, an interactive number display and a video showing off the fastest possible coaster in the game.
