Developer Psyonix has shared a new trailer and new info on Rocket League’s next lineup of unlockable loot set to go live next week.
Beginning on April 17 and running through July 29, Rocket Pass 3 will bring players another chance to “tier up” to earn in-game rewards. Free items like decals and wheels will be available for everyone to unlock, and exclusive rewards like special edition versions of select items will be available to players who upgrade their Rocket Pass.
As with other loot passes these days, the Rocket Pass rewards are divided up into two categories: “Free”, and “Premium”. While the Free pass grants access to 20+ rewards, the Premium experience will include 70, along with keys and a 50% XP bonus. After tier 70, players can start unlocking Pro loot– “special edition versions of Rocket Pass items”. Like the last Rocket Pass, these exclusive Pro items are tradable as well.
Premium pass owners will also get access to additional weekly challenges, the newest feature in Rocket Pass 3:
“New in-game challenges will be revealed each week during Rocket Pass. There will be three weekly Challenges for everyone each week, plus three additional challenges for those with Rocket Pass Premium access. Completing Challenges will grant Tier Points so that players can tier-up even faster!”
The new Challenges in Rocket Pass 3 will be specific to each week, so players will need to complete them during the time they’re live or miss out on the tier-climbing boost. Psyonix estimates that it will take about 60+ hours to unlock every level in the pass.
