Sideswipe was announced earlier this year and began to roll out to a small number of Oceania countries within the past few weeks. Now, everyone worldwide with a compatible device can join in on the fun.

You’ll want to get in on the action as soon as possible—the Pre-Season has already begun.

Throughout the Pre-Season period, you’ll be able to start practicing the mechanics of the game while unlocking customization items.

Rocket League Sideswipe has very similar mechanics to Rocket League for PC and consoles; you can use boost to make your car go faster or fly into the air to hit the ball into your opponent’s goal. You can enjoy both private matches with friends and competitive ranked matches online with players around the world.

You’ll need to create or log into an Epic Games account in order to play online matches and earn extra XP across both Rocket League and Sideswipe; each time you level up in Sideswipe, you earn a bonus win in Rocket League, and vice versa.

Of course, Rocket League Sideswipe features an electronic soundtrack from music label Monstercat. You can view the list of songs on the soundtrack by visiting the official website.

Psyonix promises to share more information soon about when the pre-season period will end and when season one will begin, encouraging players to download the game and start practicing.
