The community surpassed 25 million back in January with over one billion matches played since the game’s launch in July 2015. Rocket League initially came out on PC and was free for PlayStation Plus members on PlayStation 4, while the Xbox One version released later in February 2016.

Psyonix has continually supported the game with new modes, maps, events, and tons of free and paid DLC cosmetic items. The game recently ended its Easter event, offering holiday-themed items for completing multiplayer matches.

In addition, the developer has collaborated with other franchises, such as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Back to the Future, to bring crossover content into the game. Psyonix recently released the Dodge Ice Charger DLC, the car featured in The Fate of the Furious film currently in theaters, along with premium wheels and six decals for $1.99.
