Playing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is mostly a sedentary experience, as with most video games on the Nintendo Switch, but one brilliant modder has somehow made the Ring-Con from Ring Fit Adventure work with Nintendo’s action-adventure title.
The modder goes by Super Louis 64 and has turned Breath of the Wild into a workout game of sorts by turning Ring-Con commands into actions in the game such as crouching to skip cutscenes and violently shaking the Ring-Con to attack enemies.
You can watch the video for yourself down below to see the Ring-Con in action. As you can see, Louis has some issues actually getting all of the motions to accurately play out like he wants to, but it’s definitely a technical feat. He ends up finishing up one shrine but he ends up getting so tired at the end, that he winds up on the ground… in real life:
For those that weren’t’ aware, Ring Fit Adventure is a fairly new title from Nintendo for the Switch that makes working out fun, similar to Wii Fit or Wii Fit Plus. It’s a turn-based RPG that has you using different exercises to defeat enemies and traverse linear environments.
