The production company iam8bit is releasing Rez Infinite in physical form for $39.99. Not only this, but a deluxe vinyl soundtrack is also available – in two distinct versions – and both are a limited run.
The collector’s edition comes with an art book, which if you’ve been enthralled by Rez you will find populated with hypnotic prints. Along with concept art and screens from the game, a retrospective penned by Nick Hurwitch will be a gem worth lapping up, charting the evolution of the game from Tetsuya Mizuguchi’s original vision to fully-realized virtual reality. This version will set you back $75, while the Limited Edition will cost $85. There are only a thousand copies of the limited edition picture vinyl, so expect it to sell out quickly. Both versions are spread across a seven-inch and two LPs. Check out the entire collection here.
Pre-orders will be available from tomorrow – Friday August 18th at 09:00 PT – for an October release, though the Limited Edition will not be available until December. It’s also worthy to note that Phil Fish has worked in tandem with Schmitz to produce a pair of T-shirts for the release, priced between $25 and $28, along with two enamel pins at $10 apiece.
