Resident Evil 7: Biohazard was released earlier this year and saw the long running series get a new lease on life. Past Resident Evil games saw us controlling characters in third-person with plenty of big guns but Resident Evil 7 put us in first-person and had us fighting tooth and nail to survive.
The game has been very well received by both gamers and critics and it is regarded to be one of the scariest games of the year, especially when played via the PlayStation’s VR headset. In Capcom’s latest financial results, it was revealed that the game has managed to sell over 4.1 million units worldwide.
Earlier this year in April, Capcom announced the game had sold 3.5 million units, meaning that a further 600,000 units have been sold since then. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is available now on the PS4, Xbox One and PC however, if you’re yet to check it out, you may want to wait until the Gold Edition is released in North America and Europe on Dec. 12. The Gold Edition includes all the DLC that has since been released.
