The Resident Evil 4 Remake could feature a bigger and better version of the original game’s Separate Ways DLC, or at least that’s the impression given by a purported leaker.

The scuttlebutt started making the rounds late last week, and originated from comments made by noted Resident Evil leaker Dusk Golem. The leaker commented on the purported DLC pipeline for the Resident Evil 4 Remake on Twitter, and seemed to confirm that the Seperate Ways DLC would see a release sometime after the game’s initial release. They also made mention of how the DLC would be more extensive, and reiterated the claim on Resetera.

While it’s still unconfirmed if this leak is accurate or if the Seperate Ways DLC truly will be recreated and released, the logic of Dusk Golem’s statements does hold. It would make sense for the additional content to be redone in the same fashion as the rest of the game. Likewise, it’s entirely possible it would be put out as its own separate DLC pack given the current trends in DLC releases versus what they were like when it was originally included free of charge with the PS2 port.

Past that though, it’s anyone’s guess what changes would be made to it and how it would be expanded upon. The content could see a simple glow up in terms of graphics and controls, or it could explore entirely new segments related to Ada Wong’s journey during the events of the main game.

Time will tell, but in the meantime players can look forward to playing the Resident Evil 4 Remake when it releases on Mar. 24, 2023 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For more on the series, check out some of the related articles down below.
