Resident Evil 2 Demo Player Count Passes One Million; Only 29% Completed it

Resident Evil 2 Remake, xbox one games releases in January 2019

Today, at 6:00 PM Japan time, Capcom updated the official global statistics for the Resident Evil 2 demo, and it appears to be very popular.

We learn that over 1,000,000 players enjoyed the demo (to be precise, 1,055,790). The actual number is likely to be even higher because this counts only players who have enabled the RE NET tracking setting.

In the map below you can check out the statistics per region. At the moment Japan is leading narrowly over North America, but Europe actually wins out if you count the eastern and western halves of the continent together.

Interestingly, while a lot of people are trying out the demo, the percentage of players who are actually completing it is much lower. At the moment, only 29% actually managed to make it in the thirty minutes of gameplay we have been granted.

If you want to try to increase that percentage, you can play the Resident Evil 2 demo that is currently available.

If you want to see more of the game, you can also take a look at the latest trailer and some gameplay showcasing the Noir DLC and filters. Recently Capcom also released some new artwork and announced a collaboration bar in Tokyo, Japan, on top of launching a bunch of short clips.

The game will release in just a couple of weeks for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Jan. 25, 2019.
