When it was first announced, Quantum Break sounded like nothing if not a weirdly ambitious idea. A game and live-action show blended together where your decisions in the game actually affect the show? With the release of Remedy’s latest only a week away however, it’s time to finally check out the live-action side of things.

Showcasing the game’s shockingly star-studded cast, the trailer focuses on the villains that the live-action portions will follow, specifically Monarch Solutions, the nefarious corporation at the center of Quantum Break’s time-traveling narrative. Immediately recognizable, there’s Aiden Gillen (Little Finger from Game of Thrones) as Paul Serene, Lance Reddick (The Wire, Fringe, Destiny) as Martin Hatch, and Dominic Monaghan (Merry from The Lord of the Rings) as William Joyce.

The trailer deals mainly with a conversation between Gillen’s character and the protagonist of the game, Jack Joyce, played by X-Men’s Shawn Ashmore. Ultimately it asks the question, can you actually change things with time-travel?

We’ll find out when Quantum Break releases next week for Xbox One and PC. Any one that buys a copy of the game on Xbox One will receive download codes for Remedy’s now backwards-compatible Alan Wake, in addition to its two add-ons. We recently found out the live-action pack for Quantum Break actually takes up more hard drive space than the game itself.

What do you think of the live-action portions so far? Let us know in the comments.
