The new console opened the conference, with president Kenichiro Yoshida talking about the launch of the console.

You can check out a recording of Yoshida-san speech below, ending with the usual “Play Has No Limits” slogan.

Next, Sony Interactive Entertainment president Jim Ryan talked specifically about the PlayStation business, highlighting the expansion of the PlayStation IP to “new media” including the Uncharted movie with Tom Holland and the The Last of Us series on HBO.

He also claimed that the PS5’s was SIE’s most successful launch and the biggest console launch of all time.

At the end of the video, we see a slide indicating that Capcom’s Pragmata is now slated for 2023, alongside a slew of estimated release windows that you can see below.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Horizon: Forbidden West are confirmed for 2021, Solar Ash for June 2021, Kona for March 2021, Stray and Ghostwire Tokyo for October 2021, Little Devil Inside for July 2021, and Project Athia for January 2022.

At the moment, we don’t know how precise these estimates will end up being, considering that some of the releases are quite far in the future, but at the very least, that’s when Sony expects them as of now.

The PS5 is currently available in most of the world and we recently heard that its launch marked the biggest release of PlayStation’s history.

Of course, by “available” I mean “you’re lucky if you can find one,” but Sony promised multiple times that more stock is on the way.

Incidentally, Sony recently announced that it plans to ship more than 7.6 million units by the end of March 2021, beating the PS4’s debut shipments.

You can also check out the console’s launch trailer, a couple of celebrity videos, an unboxing video, and the “ultimate FAQ” published a few days ago, spelling all the info you may need to know.

On top of that, you can enjoy a look at the launch events and initiatives in JapanItalyLondonBerlin, and around the world.
