It’s almost time for European PlayStation fans to join their American and Japanese brethren on the PS5 bandwagon, and Sony is celebrating.
In order to properly show off that a new console is showing, the house of PlayStation has made a few interesting changes to London’s famous “Tube” subway.
The signs of the Oxford Circus station have been changed into PlayStation’s square, triangle, cross, and circle symbols, and some stations have been temporarily renamed into similarly-named games coming for PS5.
As a result, Lancaster Gate has become Ratchet & Clankaster, Mile End has become Miles End, West Ham was renamed Horizon Forbidden West Ham, and Seven Sisters has become Gran Turismo 7 Sisters.
Clever, especially considering that Oxford Circus is where you can find London’s Microsoft Store.

While some Londoners may consider the Tube almost sacred, I guess this doesn’t go as far as what PlayStation did in Tokyo.
While the PS5 is already available in the United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea, it will launch in Europe and more tomorrow, on Nov. 19.
Incidentally, Sony recently announced that it plans to ship more than 7.6 million units by the end of March 2021, beating the PS4’s debut shipments.
