Today, during Sony’s press conference at CES in Las Vegas, Nevada, Sony provided an update on the number of PS4 sold so far.
According to Sony President Kenichiro Yoshida, the console has now sold-through 91.6 Million Units, with 5.6 Million sold in the latest Holiday season as of Dec. 31, 2018.
We also get an update on software sales, with 876 million units sold through worldwide, of which 50.7 were moved during the latest Holiday period.
On top of that, we learn that Marvel’s Spider-Man has sold through over nine million copies worldwide as of Nov. 25.

The press release also included a comment from Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO and President John Kodera.
“Thanks to the continued support from our fans during the holiday season, we are pleased to announce that PS4 has reached 91.6 million units globally. We are also happy to announce that the monthly active users of PlayStation Network continues to show strong growth, and has surpassed 90 million as of end of November 2018

This year, we will bring more enhanced experiences to our fans along with a highly anticipated lineup of games that are only possible on PS4. As we look toward the next PS4 milestone, SIE will continue to evolve, and we will further expand the platform to deliver the best interactive entertainment experiences to the world.”
This is an update over the 86.1 million PS4 units shipped to retailers announced in October, and the 81.2 million units sold-through to customers announced in July.
