Tonight at E3 2016, Bethesda revealed the long-awaited Prey at their press conference. The game’s first trailer depicts a much creepier world than the originally announced Prey 2 years ago. You can check out the trailer below.
After its official cancellation in 2014, everybody was convinced the dream was finally dead that a Prey sequel would ever see the light of day. But later that year in August, some allegedly leaked company emails told a different tale: one that said that the Bethesda-owned Arkane Austin studio had taken over the project as a reboot of sorts, and had been greenlit around that time. Back in May we also learned that the domains for Prey 2 and sequential names had been updated to link to a hidden Facebook page. It’s now clear these reports were in preparation for a new reboot by Arkane Austin for the new Prey.
With Bethesda’s lineup this year bolstered with the recently released DOOM and Dishonored 2 in November, Prey should fit in well with the company’s 2017 lineup, along with Quake Champions, and Elder Scrolls Legends.
