During day 2 of Nintendo’s Treehouse stream at E3, they revealed alongside Niantic that fans will be able to download Pokémon GO to Android and iPhone devices in late July. There’s no specific date available yet, but there’s a more specific timeframe than the vague “2016” we knew previously.
The app itself was previously revealed to be a free-to-play title, but if you really want to enhance your gameplay experience you can purchase the Pokémon GO Plus accessory. There will be a button in the app that will allow you to purchase it and have it shipped to you, and it will also be available in select retailers. The Pokémon GO Plus – which connects to your smartphone via bluetooth – will be available for $34.99.
In Pokémon GO, you will gain levels as a Trainer, and at higher levels you will be able to catch more powerful Pokémon to complete your Pokédex. You’ll also have access to more powerful items, such as Great Balls, to give you a better shot at catching Pokémon. Keep exploring and encountering Pokémon to raise your level!
