PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has become one of the most popular games for streamers and it’s not hard to see why. The Battle Royale style game sees 100 players parachute into a large open map and from there they must fight to be the last survivor left as they scavenge for weapons and supplies.

The game has become massively popular and this has led to server issues and crashes for some players. The Early Access game is struggling to keep up with the demand, an issue that the game’s devs say they’re working on.

A statement released on the game’s official website apologizes for the problems and assures players the issue is being worked on. “First of all, we would like to sincerely apologize to everyone for the recent server issues which resulted in long waits and any inconveniences”, the post reads. “Our development team has been continuously upgrading the service architecture to address the increasing concurrent player numbers and tackle any emerging issues. Despite our daily efforts, there were some unexpected issues during peak times and we were unable to resolve some of the issues as fast as we would have wanted to.”

Whilst server issues are certainly annoying, there’s no way the game’s developers could have predicted the game would become such a massive hit. The post signs off, saying: “Please rest assured that we have doubled our efforts to improve the quality of the service.”

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is currently available now in Early Access for the PC. It is set to be released in the near future on the Xbox One and the game’s publisher is apparently in talks with Sony about bringing it to the PlayStation 4.
