If you’re eager to Play Phantasy Star Online 2 via Steam, there may be hope, as mentioned in the recently-released online manual in English.
The mention was sighted by Reddit user AnonMarc, located in the tutorial cerated for the closed beta of the game.
As you can see below, the manual hints very clearly to an upcoming Steam version on top of a Windows 10 launch, going as far as describing the launch procedure.
Do keep in mind that you need to be logged in to see it.
Of course, we should keep in mind that a Steam version has not been officially announced, so this should be taken with the customary grain of salt. Hopefully, we’ll hear more soon enough.
That being said, Phil Spencer himself went on record mentioning that the game will likely make it to other platforms, even if no further information was shared on that topic.
The localized version of Phantasy Star Online 2 (with English and Japanese voice acting included) for Xbox One will go into closed beta starting on February 7.
We also recently learned that there won’t be any region locking, so if you want to play from Europe or any other region, you can. On top of that, the game will support 4K resolution on Xbox One X.
In the meanwhile, Sega is preparing to launch the sixth expansion on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC in Japan, where the game is still going strong, enough to get a physical release.
