First of all, we learn that a collaboration with the anime The Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These will come in the fall, bringing the uniforms of the Galactic Empire and Free Planets Alliance for the players.

Speaking of anime, the new series Phantasy Star Online 2: Episode Oracle will start airing in Japan in October. It features animation by studio GONZO and it will count 25 episodes.

The main character, named “Ash” will be voiced by Daisuke Ono (whom you might know as Jotaro Kujo, Snow Villiers from Final Fantasy XIII and many more roles). The rest of the cast will retain its original voices from the game.

The series will follow the story of Phantasy Star Online 2 between Episodes 1 and 3. You can check out the key artwork at the bottom of the post.

If you want to know more about the game, which is coming west in 2020 Xbox One and PC a whole eight years after its original release in Japan, you can check out the announcement from E3. It’s available for PS4, Nintendo Switch, PS Vita, and PC in Japan, and Phil Spencer himself heavily hinted that it might end up on all platforms in the west as well, at some point.
