Today Atlus released a brand new series of trailers and screenshots for Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers.
This time around we get to see another brand new city, Sapporo. Located in the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, it’s one of the coldest cities of Japan.
That’s why it’s not so surprising that Sapporo’s Jail is themed after winter and snow.
We also get to see persona progression and how you can earn and use Persona Points and Skill Cards.
We learn that a new city will be introduced on January 1, 2020.
We get the introduction of a new character, a Sapporo-based politician named Kyoko Hyoudo. She has gained a lot of support and she seems to have the local population in thrall.
Sapporo’s jail has various dedicated mechanics including familiar ice-themed personas, ice walls, and even snowboarding.
You can acquire new personas by picking up the masks dropped after defeating enemy shadows in battle.
As usual, it’ll be possible to improve and fuse personas in the Velvet Room. By using Persona Points you can enhance their level and improve their parameters.
Skill Cards do what they say on the tin, allowing you to teach new skills to your favorite personas.
If you want to see more of the game, you can enjoy the latest gameplay, a trailer focusing on the hero, one featuring Sophia, one showing Ryuji, one dedicated to Morgana, one featuring Ann, another starring Yusuke, one focusing on Haru, one showing off Sendai, an earlier trailer, a few TV commercials focusing on the various locations of the game, the first screenshots alongside story and gameplay details, a second batch focusing once more on Sophia and Joker, and a third showcasing Ann, Morgana, and Ryuji.
Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers is coming for PS4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on February 20, 2020. At the moment, no western release has been announced.
