Nintendo may have removed Super Mario Bros. 35 from the Nintendo Switch Online service, but it just put a new battle royale-style game in its place: Pac-Man 99 has been announced exclusively for NSO members.
The game is pretty similar to Tetris 99: it will pit 99 players against each other, this time in the classic game of Pac-Man.
The game starts with 99 players battling against each other to see who can last the longest, but only one person will be the last Pac-Man player standing.
Eating Power Pellets to turn ghosts blue and eating them will send Jammers to your opponents, making it harder for them to stay alive. You can switch between eight different preset strategies, such as speeding up, sending extra Jammers, and more.
You’ll also be able to purchase up to 20 downloadable custom themes to make the game look and sound like your favorite classic Namco games, such as Xevious, Galaga, and Dig Dug.
You can read even more about Pac-Man 99 on the official Nintendo website right here.
Pac-Man 99 will be free to download exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online members, just like Tetris 99. It will release on April 7 on the eShop at 9 pm ET, and it’s available to pre-load right now.
