Earlier today, rumors swirled around Blizzard’s hero shooter Overwatch having a release date for May 24. Sure enough, Blizzard confirmed that the game would indeed be hitting that release date, and they confirmed it with a stylish trailer, which you can see below.
In addition to the final date, Blizzard also revealed that the game will have early access for those who pre-order. The early access will hit on May 3 and come to both PC and consoles for both you and an additional buddy. From May 5-9, the beta will be all access and open to everybody, regardless of pre-order status. All launch heroes and maps will be available for players to mess around with. To ensure getting in on the beta, it’s best to pre-order the game by April 29.
And once again, we play the waiting game. With this, Uncharted 4, Battleborn, and Doom, May’s looking like one pretty busy month for gamers. Better start saving up those pennies!
