Do you wish the Nintendo Switch Lite came in a color or pattern not shown in the reveal trailer early this morning? No sooner than when they unveiled the somewhat miniature version of the original Nintendo Switch did they announce the Nintendo Switch Lite will also come painted with the colors of Pokemon Sword and Shield.
The Pokemon Sword and Shield edition of the Nintendo Switch Lite is a lighter shade of gray than the one Yoshiaki Koizumi, general producer of the Nintendo Switch, presented in the reveal trailer, with big speckles of cyan and magenta on each side.
The back of the handheld Switch Lite contains illustrations of the eponymous Galar Legendary Pokemon Zacian and Zamazenta.
While most limited edition consoles are bundled with the games advertised on the package, Nintendo decided to go a different route, as neither of the games are included.
The Pokemon Sword and Shield edition of the Nintendo Switch Lite will hit shelves on Nov. 8, just one week ahead of the games’ release.
It’s unusual to see Pokemon Sword and Shield not bundled with the new handheld designed after it. But since they aren’t upping the price point at all (it will also cost $199.99), it’s perfectly reasonable for Nintendo to sell both the game and the Nintendo Switch Lite separately.
Pokemon Sword and Shield releases Nov. 15 on the Nintendo Switch.
