Nintendo and the stylish Japanese clothing retailer Uniqlo recently teamed up to bring an exclusive line to stores. However, the two companies also sought outside help, running a contest for fans to design the upcoming shirts. Now the winners of the contest from a whopping 16,000 entries have been revealed, and boy are there some stylish options that’ll be available for purchase.
Three top winners were chosen, although there will be a total of over 20 shirts hitting Uniqlo stores worldwide, including the U.S. starting on May 19. Here’s the top three that feature Mario, Splatoon, and Zelda.
The top design took home a $10,000 prize pool and an exclusive Switch system signed by Shigeru Miyamoto. The iconic 8-Bit Mario shirt design comes from Takashi Kawazoe from Japan. The shirt will be available in Men’s, Womens’, and Children’s sizes.
The second place design sports a colorful motif from Splatoon, and is created by Shino Yamakazi from Japan. It’ll be available in Men’s and Children’s sizes.
Finally, the third place spot is created by David Ricardo Flores Gomez from Mexico, and sports a slick dungeon theme from Zelda. It’ll be available in Children’s sizes.
Make sure to head over to the official site to see the rest of the winning designs from series like Pikmin, Animal Crossing, Kirby and more.
The line will be hitting stores worldwide starting on May 19, with 31 designs in total; 15 for men, 8 for women, and 8 for children. Men’s and women’s sizes will run $14.90, while kid’s sizes will be $9.90.
