Courtesy of a new partnership between developer CD Projekt Red and Sideshow, new official Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher collectibles are on the way. As per the description on its own website, Sideshow is a studio that specializes in “limited edition statues and busts, articulated figures, film prop replicas and fine art pieces in a wide range of scales.”
The company made the following announcement via its website today:
“Sideshow is excited to announce that Cyberpunk 2077 license and collectibles will be coming in the future! Stay tuned – RSVP for more updates!”
There’s an identical one for The Witcher 3, too.
Sideshow has recently worked with movie franchises like Marvel and Star Wars, and video game IPs like Assassin’s Creed. The craftsmanship on its figurines is of absolutely superb quality, though they don’t come cheap.
Officially licensed, high-quality figures are always pretty dear, but Sideshow’s 1:4 scale Animus Ezio is over $600! Still, you get what you pay for — just look at the detail:
Of course, CDPR’s merchandise store already has one or two figures already, produced by a separate company. Quite whether Sideshow’s figurines will replace what’s currently on offer or just supplement it is at this stage unknown.
Only recently CDPR showcased its latest The Witcher 3 figurine, called Ciri and the Kitsune. It isn’t quite Sideshow quality, but it’s still pretty damn good-looking if you ask us.
