Earlier today, it was announced that last year’s Rise of the Tomb Raider would quit being an Xbox exclusive and finally head to the PS4 later this year, with the Croft Manor and PSVR support. The box art was also unveiled, showing a silhouette of Lara Croft, wielding a bow and her climbing axes. If it looks familiar to you, it’s because it’s basically the box art for the Uncharted Collection, which released last year and came packed with the single player campaigns for the first three games.
Comparisons between the adventures of Nathan Drake and Lara’s latest treks have been going around since the latter’s reboot in 2013, and this just adds more fuel to the fire. Something that Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann, the writer and director of The Last of Us and Uncharted 4, was happy to point out.
First Melania Trump and now this. 😉

While Druckmann is clearly joking, some thought he was being serious and threw some shade his way, both about the cover and Nathan Drake’s last adventure jacking art from Assassin’s Creed.

All jokes and jabs aside, it’s good to know that Rise of the Tomb Raider is coming to the PS4. Now players will get two great action games in their library.
