Today Muv-Luv developer âge is hosting a special event to help fill the void left by the canceled Comiket 98, and they released the first trailer of the new game code-named Project Mikhail.

The trailer provides a look at the game including TSF customization, the adventure (visual novel) part in an “AGES compatible engine,” and of course action battles against the beta.

If you’re wondering, the AGES engine is what powers all of Muv-Luv’s visual novels.

We get the confirmation that the game is coming in 2021 for PC, iOS, and Android.

Below you can see a recording of the trailer. Unfortunately, the quality of the stream was really bad, but we’ll update it with the official upload as soon as it’s available. This should be enough to see the features and visual quality.

Incidedntally, We already know that the game won’t have a gacha business model to weigh it down.

Another surprise is that the G-TAG doujin circle released an alpha test build of its TSF simulator fan game The TSF Forefront R, which impressed many years ago and has been considered a lost project for a long time. You can play it yourself by downloading it here (you’ll need a Pixiv account).

Do keep in mind that this is a fan-made game and not an official project, even if âge has a history of adopting fan projects. It’s also alpha, so it’s definitely unfinished. That being said, it certainly has potential.

Incidentally, âge also launched a Twitter campaign prompting fans to post pictures of their fan-made works (it could be whatever, including artwork, comics, models, or any other item) with the following hashtags: #マブラヴ #クリエイターを無礼るな #夏コミエイド.

âge will donate 1 yen for each tweet and for any retweet they get (up to a a total of 500,000 yen) to the Gates Foundation to support the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign will end on May 5 at midnight Japan time.
