Arriving quicker than some fans may have expected, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will be available on Steam on Jan. 9, 2020, coming four months after its release on console.
The PC release of Monster Hunter: World launched seven months after its console counterpart in 2018, so players on that platform have already had to endure a long wait to initially get their hands on the game.
The PC version of Iceborne will feature 4K resolution support, ultra-wide 21:9 screen settings, DirectX 12 support, improved mouse and keyboard controls, and have an uncapped frame rate.
Iceborne picks up right where the main story of Monster Hunter: World left off. Unsurprisingly, it sees players venturing into an unexplored region in search of new wildlife.
Hoarfrost Reach is the new locale and unknown monsters will be encountered both in the icy region, and in areas from the main game as well.
If that isn’t enough, players will also be able to use new moves to take these threats down while operating out of a different, snowy headquarters.
Capcom just dropped a trailer for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne’s PC release, so you can see what you’ll have to look forward to below:
Neither Guardian Armor nor the Rajang will be available on release, but they’ll be coming in a title update at a later date for free.
