Today Capcom announced with a press release that it’ll host a new beta test for the upcoming Monster Hunter: World expansion Iceborne.
To be more precise, there will be two different beta sessions depending on the platform you want to play on.

“the PlayStation 4 beta will be available for all PS4 users from 12:01am PDT on Friday, August 30 through 11:59pm PDT on Sunday, September 1. Following that, a beta for Xbox One will be available from 12:01am PDT on Monday, September 2 through 11:59pm PDT on Wednesday, September 4”
Pre-downloads will also be available starting on August 28.
The previous quests featuring Great Jagras (Beginner), Banbaro (Intermediate) and Tigrex (Expert) will be available once more, but there will be an additional challenge featuring elder dragon and flagship monster Velkhana.
When you complete each quest, you can earn a total of four special commendation packs which include consumable items that will be unlocked in the full version of the expansion when it launches.

Monster Hunter: World Iceborne will launch worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 6. The Steam version will be released in January.
