Monster Hunter: World Celebrates 13 Million Units Sold with Special Item Pack Giveaway

Monster Hunter World continues to drive Capcom's sales with 13 million units sold worldwide and Iceborne releasing very soon.

Capcom announced via Twitter that Monster Hunter: World hit 13 million units shipped worldwide since it first released in January 2018 (August 2018 on PC). Further proving that the game continues to be a driving force behind Capcom’s earnings.

To celebrate this milestone, a special item pack will be given away in-game from July 25 through August 29. In addition to a very nice Attack Jewel, the pack includes: 13 Appreciation Tickets, 13 Silver Eggs, 3 Gold Wyverian Prints, and 3 Heavy Armor Spheres. To snag these bonus goodies, players should look out for them “when you claim your Daily Login Bonus.”

As the most accessible game in the series yet, we thought Monster Hunter: World was fantastic when it first released (aside from the slightly grindy gameplay loop). Iceborne, the massive new expansion coming this fall, promises “new quest ranks, locales, monsters, moves and gear in addition to a full narrative experience that continues on from the ending of Monster Hunter: World.”

We went hands-on with Iceborne at E3, and it actually feels more like a full-fledged sequel than a DLC add-on.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will release on September 9 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. For more on the expansion, you can check out every new monster confirmed so far and the latest developer diary right here.
