Capcom has been killing it this year in terms of sales, hitting new records, specifically after the release of Monster Hunter: World and Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. After Monster Hunter: World shipped in January this year, it has gone on to sell over 10 million units, making it one of the best selling Capcom games ever.
Likewise, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate has been quite successful, too, with the Nintendo Switch version released this year. According to a press release from Capcom today, Generations Ultimate has “enjoyed robust sales owing to its consistent popularity.”
Even more signs point to Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate’s success, as it still ranks in the top 30 Best Sellers list on the Nintendo Switch eShop. You can actually get it on sale for 25% off from the eShop as of right now, as well, bringing it down from that $59.99 price point to $44.99 – a great deal for hundreds of hours of content.
This year has been great for Capcom, and we think 2019 should bode well for them, too, especially with the release of Resident Evil 2 and Devil May Cry 5. Capcom wants to release 3 major games a year, so there may still be one more AAA title that is yet to be announced.
