To celebrate the start of Season 4 of Modern Warfare and Warzone, Infinity Ward has confirmed that the core multiplayer modes are free to play once more this weekend.
From June 12 at 1pm ET until June 15 at 1pm ET, which is from tomorrow, you’ll be able to try out five multiplayer maps and seven gunfight maps.
All you need to do to test out the maps for free is to download Warzone and jump in through the main menu.
You can read up on all the Season 4 information here, where Infinity Ward had the following to say about the free weekend.
Free-to-play Warzone users can experience another Multiplayer Free Access Weekend on June 12 at 10 AM PT to June 15 at 10AM PT. It will include the latest 6v6 Multiplayer Maps Zhokov Scrapyard and Hardhat, as well as a few other fan-favorites. In addition, there will also be a Gunfight playlist during the Free Access Weekend featuring seven maps primed for fun, tactical and tension-filled engagements.
What the free weekend will allow you to do is complete certain weapon and skin challenges quickly, since you can kill more people per game than you’re likely to in Warzone.
It also lets you work towards camo unlocks and it’ll be helpful to jump into modes that have high player counts if you’re trying to unlock one particular pattern, so that you can get a lot of headshots in short periods of time.
You’ll also be able to make a good start on increasing your Battle Pass tier, working towards the Captain Price Tier 100 skin.
Modern Warfare’s multiplayer is free via Warzone from tomorrow, June 12.
