Microsoft announced today it has added touch controls to 10 additional Xbox Game Pass games after the service launched on Android last month.
Starting today, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can use touch controls for these games on Android smartphones and tablets:
- Dead Cells
- Gucamelee! 2
- Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
- Hotshot Racing
- Killer Instinct
- New Super Lucky’s Tale
- Slay The Spire
- Streets of Rage 4
- Tell Me Why
- UnderMine
The company said in the blog post that developing touch controls was different for some games than simply placing Xbox control prompts on the screen.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice developer Ninja Theory worked with Microsoft to integrate the controls and the controls may change depending on the gameplay situation or mode, while Hotshot Racing added a touch-controlled throttle that could provide the same control as an analog trigger.
Players can also customize where the buttons are placed the screen and Microsoft has added new icons that go beyond the ABXY format, such as a dedicated jump and dodge button.
The 10 games join Minecraft Dungeons, which was the first game to receive touch controls with the launch of Xbox Game Pass on Android last month.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers have the ability to play over 100 Game Pass games on Android devices, such as Destiny 2 and Gears 5, through Project xCloud by streaming the game to the device via the cloud at no additional charge.
