Such a thrill.

Metal Gear Solid was one of the most important games on the PlayStation and following installments were equally well regarded. The series is beloved by gamers for its interesting characters, beautiful graphics, innovative ideas, and of course its stealth action gameplay. These are all certainly great aspects of the series but one that really shines is its music.

Every Game features excellent music that really resonates with what’s happening on screen. It’s rare for music from a game to be quite as impactful as songs like The Best is Yet to Come from Metal Gear Solid, Snake Eater from Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater, and Quiet’s Theme from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

As Metal Gear Informer reports, to celebrate the great music featured over the years, a Metal Gear concert is being held in Osaka and Tokyo, Japan, later this year. The music will be played by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra for the show in Tokyo and the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra will handle the Osaka show. The music will be conducted by Nicholas Buc and fans will get to see long time vocalist for the series’ music, Donna Burke, perform the vocals live.

As the official website states, the dates are as follows:

Orix Theatre, Osaka
July 30th, 17:00

Tokyo International Forum, Tokyo
August 2nd, 19:00

Tickets will cost 9500 Yen (around $85). If you’re a big Metal Gear buff outside of Japan then you’ll be pleased to know that thee are also plans afoot for a world tour across North America and Japan.
