These past few weeks, Capcom has not been shy with announcing new Monster Hunter titles. The long-running action-adventure RPG has been in the spotlight with the recent news that Monster Hunter XX will be coming to the Nintendo Switch and the very surprising announcement during E3 that Monster Hunter World will be coming to home consoles later next year.
Fans of the series were very excited to hear that the enhanced port of Monster Hunter Generations, XX, would be making its way to Nintendo’s hybrid console. But it turns out that Capcom has no plans – “at this time” – to bring the Switch version of XX to North America.
Monster Hunter XX launches in Japan for the Nintendo Switch on August 25, 2017. If you want to get your Monster Hunter fix on consoles, then you’re going to have to wait until early 2018, when Monster Hunter World releases on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Hopefully Capcom changes their mind and decides to eventually localize XX and bring it over to the west.
