Not a lot is known currently, but it seems that Alex Garcia and Jay Ashenfelter will be involved. The two will be overseeing the project at Legendary. Additionally, Ryosuke Yoritomi will be representing publisher Shueusha and Toho will distribute the film in Japan.

This is the first time the series will be adapted into a live action film. However, the first animated feature film, The Two Heroes, just finished a very successful run in North America, becoming one of the top ten highest grossing anime films in history.

To those unfamiliar, My Hero Academia is a popular manga and anime that revolves around a group of talented high school students studying to be professional superheroes.

My Hero Academia is an interesting manga where 80 percent of the population has a superpower, known as a “Quirk.” Because of this, the entire way the world works is different, where superheroes can be a profession that people study for.

The series has been around for a while thanks to the anime and manga, which debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump.

There’s even a video game releasing this month for PS4, Switch, PC, and Xbox One, My Hero One’s Justice. You can read our review of it here. For even more My Hero Academia, you can see a few reasons why its the anime you should be watching, as well as some ideas we have for future games from the series.

We will keep you updated about the live action My Hero Academia film as more information pours in.
