With every great movie, television show, or video game, you’ll find hundreds upon thousands of pieces of fan art from those who enjoyed it so much they were inspired to recreate their favorite moments or characters in their own personal style. The Life is Strange community is a particularly passionate one, and both Square Enix and Dontnod Entertainment – the game’s publisher and developer respectively – have been welcoming of the overwhelming support from their fans.

They have received so much fan art for Life is Strange that the folks at Square Enix have taken a whole slew of those works – more than 1,000 pieces found throughout Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Tumblr, DeviantArt, and Steam – and used them to create a massive 18-megabyte mosaic fan art of their own. As it turns out, this is just the first of multiple Life is Strange mosaics to come, in celebration of tomorrow’s launch of the limited edition physical version of the game. Be on the lookout for more of these awesome creations in the future! This image is a recreation of an iconic scene of Max and Chloe in the junkyard, sitting on a beat-up old car.

We had to severely downscale the mosaic to make it upload to our servers, so do make sure to check out the full-sized image here. It’s a mighty impressive collection of artwork, to say the least.
