L.A. Noire’s VR Case Files Release Date Announced

Get ready, detective.

L.A. Noire

L.A. Noire was originally released back in 2011 and saw players step into the role of a detective who must solve various crimes by using brains rather than brawn. The game was set during the late 1940’s and tasked players with collecting evidence and questioning suspects.

L.A. Noire was recently ported to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch and it was also announced that a VR version of the game, called L.A. Noire: VR Case Files would be released exclusively for the HTC Vive. The VR cases were mean’t to be released in November along with the other ports but was then delayed to an unspecified date in December.

As reported by VRFocus, it has now been announced that the VR version of L.A. Noire will be released via Steam on Dec. 15. Good news for all you would be detectives. The VR version sees the perspective change from a third-person to first-person view and 500 items found in the game have been remodeled in order to allow closer inspection by players.

A new area will also be included in the VR edition, Phelp’s office. Players can pace the office whilst working on cases, interact with items, change costumes, hear new dialogue options, and listen to the record player.
