Kirby: Battle Royale was formally revealed during a Nintendo Direct last week that showed off Kirby fighting against other Kirby’s in a super-adorable brawler that not only features a four-player competitive mode but a single-player story mode as well.
From looking at the box-art for Kirby: Battle Royale, it’s been confirmed that the title won’t be supporting stereoscopic 3D that the 3DS offers. This isn’t too surprising since a handful of other 3DS titles have not supported the 3D visuals as of late: Hey! Pikmin and Pokemon Sun and Moon to mention a few. You also can’t forget the fact that Nintendo has been advertising the heck out of the 2DS, which doesn’t feature any sort of 3D at all, making the glasses-free 3D feature non-existent on the new platforms.
Kirby: Battle Royale launches for the Nintendo 3DS on January 19. Also, look out for Kirby: Star Allies which releases in the spring of 2018 for the Nintendo Switch.
