Ichigo Kurosaki From Bleach Joins Jump Force as a Playable Character

Jump Force was one of the biggest surprises at this year’s E3, and now another iconic Shonen Jump character is joining the battle, Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach. The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals the addition and thanks to @YonkouProd on Twitter for spotting the news.

Apparently, Ichigo will be sporting his look from the “Thousand Year Blood War” arc of the anime, although like the other characters his design has been altered to resemble what the character might look like in our world. The issue also confirms that Rukia Kuchiki and Sosuke Aizen will appear in the game, although it’s not clear whether the two will be playable. Finally, Famitsu also confirmed the addition of a Hong Kong stage, although like the other stages in Jump Force it’s merged with an anime world. In this case a massive Blackbeard Pirate’s ship sits in the middle of the city.

The current known roster now consists of Goku, Naruto, Luffy, Frieza, Sasuke, Roronoa Zolo, and Ichigo. Ryuk and Light from Death Note have been confirmed to appear in the game, although they will not be playable.

Jump Force is scheduled to release sometime in 2019 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Make sure you take a look at our hands-on preview from E3, where we found the game to be quite similar to the line of Dragon Ball Z fighters.
