If you’re unfamiliar with Humble Games, it’s the publishing branch of the Humble Bundle. Last week they announced they would be stepping up and offering money to help publish games with the Black Game Developer Annual Fund.
Signups for the fund are open as of today as well as a list of criteria to see if you’re eligible to receive funding. According to their website to be eligible you must “be at least 50% owned and operated by people (or a person) of African origin living inside or outside the continent, irrespective of their citizenship and nationality.”
It also goes on to state that you must not have not already signed a publisher for the game you are developing.
Applications for the fund can be found here and there is no restriction on the genre, platform, or audience for your game.
Humble Games has published indie titles such as TemTem, Forager, Slay the Spire, and A Hat in Time. The Black Game Developer Fund will help developers fund, market, and publish their games.
Humble Bundle is currently offering an array of different bundles to pick up for a great value if you’re looking for something new to play. As always for more news and coverage be sure to stay connected with Twinfinite.
