Sony Interactive Entertainment announced today via press release that Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn has sold over 7.6 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling first-party exclusive title on the PS4 to date.
“We had huge ambition for Horizon Zero Dawn and as we approached the launch we knew people were excited, but to see sales of this volume is truly mind blowing,” said Hermen Hulst, the studio’s co-founder and managing director. “We hope they enjoy playing Horizon Zero Dawn as much as we enjoyed making it.”
In celebration of the title’s accomplishment and its one year anniversary, a bunch of free goodies will be available for PS4 users tomorrow, including avatars of Horizon Zero Dawn’s characters and a theme showcasing fan-made Photo Mode screenshots.
In case you were pining for physical items, a sale on the game’s official merchandise on the PlayStation Gear store will also take place for a limited time until March 11. This includes things like metal prints, hoodies, the game’s strategy guide, art prints, and more.
To top it all off, the press release closes by stating that fans of the title can expect more “one year anniversary goodness” to come in the midst of Sony and Guerrilla Games’ accomplishment.
