If you’re still wondering what Lucasfilm thinks about the recent debacle with Star Wars Battlefront II loot boxes, wonder no more. The movie giant has come out in support of the decision to remove the loot boxes from the game, even if only for a short time.

After the company came forward with the decision to remove Crystals from the game, Lucasfilm eventually gave a statement to The Washington Post, expressing that “Star Wars has always been about the fans — and whether it’s ‘Battlefront or any other Star Wars experience, they come first.”

“That’s why we support EA’s decision to temporarily remove in-game payments to address fan concerns.”

The Crystals are not planned to be included in-game again for some time, as EA previously stated, until the time is “right.” The company didn’t divulge what kind of prerequisites would have to be met before bringing Crystals back into the game, nor if they would be restored in the same manner they were available in before they were removed.

We’ll likely be hearing more on the story in the coming weeks as the loot box controversy continues to rage on.
