The Secret of Mana remake has caused a bit of a ruckus since it was announced. Some fans are more in-tune with the classic graphics from the original on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and some are absolutely here for the new 3D look. If you’re not sure which team you’re on or if you need another look at things, YouTuber Cycu1 has put together a video that splices important scenes from the original game together to make a helpful comparison video.

You can see how every scene we’ve been privy to so far plays out with the classic version of the game on the left and the remake on the right divided by a bright yellow line down the middle. It’s not difficult to see that both games are distinctly different, and it’s not just because one uses sprites and the other 3D models. It can definitely take some getting used to if this isn’t your preferred visual style.

However, there’s a lot more to the remake than its looks, like its voice acting and what kind of content will have been changed or added. It’s not something we know a lot about just yet, but there should be more information on that coming in the next few months as we lead up to the release of Secret of Mana on February 15, 2018. It’ll be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC then. For now, have a look at the comparison video below.
