The next PC game to be given away by the Epic Games Store today is Hello Neighbor, as part of the launcher’s “12 Days of Free Games” promotion.
The 2017 stealth horror game is about “sneaking into your neighbor’s house to figure out what horrible secrets he’s hiding in the basement,” according to the game’s description. The player is up against an AI that chases relentlessly and can set traps based on previous encounters.
Hello Neighbor is free on the Epic Games Store for a limited time until tomorrow, Dec. 31 at 11 a.m. ET. It is the eleventh game in the 12 Days of Free Games program, where Epic Games has given away a free game to claim each day until Jan. 1.
The company has given away these games so far:
- Into the Breach
- Towerfall Ascension
- Superhot
- Little Inferno
- Celeste
- Totally Accurate Battle Simulator
- FTL – Faster Than Light: Advanced Edition
- Hyper Light Drifter
- Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun
- The Talos Principle
Epic Games had continually revealed a clue about the next day’s free game with an icon representative of the game itself. The clue for the final game is the letter Y stylized similarly to Playtonic Games’ platformer Yooka-Laylee.
So, the final free game tomorrow could either be the 2017 spiritual successor to the Banjo-Kazooie series, or the recently released 2D platformer Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair.
