After the insane success that was Pokemon GO, it’s no surprise that mobile developer Niantic would naturally want to set their eyes on yet another popular IP and develop a game for it. As we’ve suspected for a while now, Niantic is indeed developing a new Harry Potter mobile game.
Over at the Harry Potter: Wizards Unite official Twitter account, we’ve just gotten our first glimpse at the game’s title and a quick sneak peek.
It’s up to you to protect the wizarding world. Enlist immediately for the Statute of Secrecy Task Force: https://t.co/b9UtoUA3gS #WizardsUnite pic.twitter.com/2NSlOpgj3W

The clip itself doesn’t actually show off any real gameplay, but players will be tasked with joining a new secret order to restore balance to the magical world. Considering this is an AR game, players will probably have to travel to different real life locations to cast spells and resolve the magical disorders.
You can now enlist to be part of the special task force over at the game’s official website. Harry Potter: Wizards Unite doesn’t have an official release date just yet, but it’s set to launch some time in 2019.
