Halo Wars 2 is just a couple weeks away from release, and Microsoft is celebrating with a CG launch trailer for the game. In the trailer we see a bit of background information on the setup of the game, as well as the new threat that faces humanity.
The launch trailer sets the stage for Halo Wars 2, introducing the Brute named Atriox, who’s the main villain of the game. Atriox defected from the Covenant, and the trailer says he couldn’t even be brought down when the Covenant were in full power. He’s an imposing villain to be sure, as he takes down a squad of Spartans single-handedly, and easily crushes a helmet in his hands. Isabel the AI doubts humanities’ chances it seems, but Sgt. Forge is staunchly determined. You can see the full trailer down below.
Halo Wars 2 launches on Feb. 21 for Xbox One and PC. For anyone purchasing the Ultimate Edition of the game, early access will begin on Feb. 17. Make sure you also take a look at some stats 343 released on playtime in the most recent Halo Wars 2 beta.
