They’re doing so by releasing a new launch trailer, which shows familiar mobile suits in action.

You can check it out below.

After a long wait, the western release of the game was finally announced at Anime expo, which is rather exciting if you’re a Gundam fan.

Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 lets you fight both on foot and on giant mecha, with a setup somehow reminiscent of the Battlefield series, even if the player count is much smaller (6 vs. 6) and it’s in third-person.

We also got a comment from Shoya Yamazaki, director of I.P. strategy at Bandai Namco Entertainment America.

“The Gundam franchise is a rich universe featuring storylines full of drama, honor, and intense action.

By bringing Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 to the Americas, we invite western audiences to experience the Gundam world first-hand by taking part in visceral Gundam Mobile Suit battles and to dive deeper into this storied universe.”

The game is releasing today exclusively for PS4. It’s free to play, so there is no barrier of entry before you can sit in the cockpit of your very own mobile suit from one of the coolest mecha anime series ever created.
