Guilty Gear -Strive- Delayed to Early 2021 to Improve Quality

Today Arc System Works announced that Guilty Gear -Strive- won't be released in 2020 as initially announced, but will come in 2021.

Today Arc System Works announced that Guilty Gear -Strive- won’t be released in 2020 as initially announced.

The announcement comes via a message from producer Takeshi Yamanaka and  mentions that the new release window is early 2021.

According to Yamanaka-san, every aspect of the development schedule has been delayed by the COVID-19 emergency. 

On top of that, the team wants to improve the quality of the game further in response to player feedback provided during the recent beta.

If you want to see more of Guilty Gear – Strive – , you can also check out the latest gameplay, the original announcement from EVO 2019,  an earlier trailer showcasing  Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske, and teasing May. Another trailer revealed Axl Low, one showcased more of his gameplay, the previous promotional video unveiled Chipp Zanuff and Potemkinthe one showcasing more of the two and unveiled Faust, another with more gameplay, and the latest showcasing Millia Rage and Zato=1.

We also recently learned that the final game will include an implementation of the popular Rollback netcode for its online matches.

The only platform officially announced so far for Guilty Gear –Strive– is PS4 with a Fall 2020 window.
